INVITATION TO SERVE AS EBEW AFFILIATES -
AEC PROFESSION PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS

The mission of the Emerging Built Environment Women (EBEW) Center is to advance educational and institutional transformations that enhance the early awareness, attraction, interest, preparation, and persistence of girls and women into Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) professions through tutoring, mentoring, scholarships, internships, research experiences, participation in conferences & other events, informal learning experiences, dissemination of research findings, and a publicly available website. EBEW Affiliates, AEC students and professionals, are needed to contribute to the mission of the EBEW.

In particular, EBEW is looking for AEC students or professionals who will be willing to share their educational and career related AEC experiences through 4 to 8 -minute videos. Videos should include a brief self-introduction; description of how the affiliate got interested in the AEC profession; description of the joys and challenges of being an AEC student or professional; and advice for women interested in AEC professions. Also, videos should express affiliate's sense of connection to at least two of the 16 overlay AEC roles listed below:

1. AEC Feminist or Female Advocate;
2. AEC Humanitarian or Volunteer;
3. AEC Globalist (Desire to engage in international AEC projects);
4. AEC Minority advocate (Support minorities towards AEC success);
5. AEC Entrepreneur (Desire to own business);
6. AEC Environmentalist;
7. AEC Youth Advocate (Support youth towards AEC success);
8. AEC Immigrant Advocate (Support immigrants towards AEC success);
9. AEC Regionalist (Passion to work close to familiar regions);
10. AEC Professor-Researcher
11. AEC Disability Advocate 
12. AEC Missionary (Desire to use AEC expertise in missionary or religious work);
13. AEC Culturally inspired consultant;
14. AEC Politician (Engage in political activities related to AEC professions);
15. AEC Professor-Teacher;
16. AEC Public official.

Applicants will receive follow up emails to provide additional information regarding their application. Selected female AEC student applicants will be invited to submit videos and will receive $100 after they submit quality videos and sign a photo/video release form.
